UK import duty recovery · no win, no fee
Most UK importers overpay duty.
Your freight forwarder is paid to clear goods quickly, not cheaply. We check three years of your declarations and reclaim what HMRC owes you.

A simplified illustration of how one wrong code compounds, not a client case. Real rates depend on the goods, their origin and the tariff in force at the time of import.
Everything clears. That is the problem.

HMRC repays you
Nothing upfront, and nothing at all if no money is recovered. Our fee is a share of what comes back.
A code set once at first clearance gets copied onto every declaration that follows.
“We assumed our forwarder had this covered. Turns out this really works — the review paid for a year of freight.”
Questions we get asked
Does making a claim invite an HMRC audit?
A repayment claim is a routine procedure with its own HMRC process. It is not a voluntary disclosure and it does not flag your business for review. Every claim is evidenced line by line before it is submitted.
What does it cost?
Nothing upfront, and nothing at all if no money is recovered. The fee is a percentage of what HMRC actually repays, agreed in writing before any claim is prepared.
What do you need from us?
Very little. Your import declarations for the period under review — most finance teams can pull these in an afternoon. Our specialist team does all of the leg work from there.
Will this disrupt our freight forwarder relationship?
No. The review looks at classification and valuation, not at your forwarder's performance, and nothing is raised with them. Most clients keep the same forwarder and hand them corrected codes going forward.
Who submits the claim to HMRC?
Import Claims is an introducer. We qualify whether a review is worth your time, then hand you to our specialist customs duty partner, who prepares and submits the claim and deals with HMRC directly.
